From Germany Cologne with love a two piece Chicago Boogie Blues Trash Band. drums and guitar, Elmore James style boogie Blues recorded with only one microphone it sounds as good as old shellacs back in the days.. Warm and very powerful authentic
----------------------
It must have been around 2004 when T-Man and Mighty Mike from Cologne got together to play wild rhythm & blues at private student parties, initially as a trio. The rapid loss of the double bass player forced Mike to play drums so as not to end up as an acoustic blues duo. If there were two of them, then as a two-man band! The Juke Joint Pimps were born. Wearing garish pimp outfits and carrying tons of clunkers, they played their first concerts with rough, noisy postwar Chicago blues. What initially met with little approval from the local blues audience was immediately welcomed with open arms by the trash and punk rock community. The wild, raw energy of early electric blues and the anarchic humor of two oddballs unite the genre camps.

Et voilà, their first album on Voodoo Rhythm Records.
Their fondness for Elmore James, Howlin' Wolf, North Mississippi Hill Country Blues or Reverend Charlie Jackson is unmistakable - and it is precisely this feeling that we were able to capture.
BOOGIE THE HOUSE DOWN is the result of two different sessions - 'Dust my Broom', 'Rollin and Tumblin' and 'I can't be Satisfied' were recorded in 2005 in the rehearsal room on a Tascam cassette recorder and served as the band's first demo. The remaining songs were recorded in Willich by Hot Spot Recording Service with a one track tape machine from the 50s. Everything live, loud and without any technical gimmicks. After an excellent mastering in Central Dubs / Bern and cover art by Beat-Man himself, we proudly present you black and white electrifying blues energy quality class A.
